1900 Phebus, DDB 2.75hp 326cc engine number 1074, frame number 1981, registration number BS8656.

Sunbeam Motorcycle Club Pioneer Certificate Number 2044. 

Found in good condition in Belgium 1985; restored and displayed in Dutch museum until acquired by myself in 2015. Stripped and completely recommissioned by Mick and Nick Penney including fitting Bozier gearbox, new tyres and various minor new parts.

The 1900 model has a longer frame allowing a lowered seating position and wider rear track, improving machine stability, together with the drop handle bars a more rakish stance is achieved than earlier machines.  Similar to Wridgway’s Phebus, Crystal Palace September 1899 “Motor Car Club Championship Race” (Jarrott – Ten Years of Motors and Motor Racing, pp 92).

Participant 120th Anniversary Race meeting (Brooklands Finishing Straight, 29th November 2017). Eligible for Pioneer Run, London to Brighton and all Victorian events including Team Jarrott races.
